ACCOMMODATIONS
The elegance of the Sabre Yachts interior is evident right from the companionway hatch. Her all Teak interior has had her satin varnish up-dated as needed and shows beutifully. The standard 402 interior layout includes a centerline double bed in the forward cabin with bench/steps both port & starboard sides for easy access. Large cedar lined hanging locker, numerous drawers, storage lockers & shelves. A large overhead hatch and two opening ports provide excellent light & ventilation. The vanity with sink counter is white sand Corian with H&C water.

The main salon has a drop leaf centerline table made of solid Teak. L-shaped settee to port that forms a great double bed. Straight settee/berth opposite. Numerous storage lockers and spaces outboard of the settees. The navigation desk is mid ships to stbd. with sit down seat and lift top. Up-dated electronics are flush mounted and the ships power panels are located outboard. The large head compartment is aft to stbd. with stall shower w. sump pump, vanity & sink with Corian countertop with hot & cold pressure water, marine toilet. An access door leads directly to the aft cabin.

The large U-shaped galley is a superb offshore galley as it opens aft. Double S.S. sinks with H&C pressure water, ice box drain, 12 volt refrigeration, front opening fridge door, S.S. three burner propane stove & oven. Extensive storage lockers for your accessories and provisions. The aft stateroom has a cedar lined hanging locker and storage compartments. A large, nearly rectangular, double bed has opening ports all around for enhanced ventilation.

Galley Stove & Fridge

Tuatara Sleeps 6 to 7 in two cabins plus saloon. She has an interior arrangement typical of the GB 36 Classic model with the exception of the aft cabin head, PORT SIDE SALOON DOOR and three steps to the aft cabin. Aft and to starboard is the MASTER BERTH which is a 54" queen with a 2007 Marine Sleepy's foam mattress and to port is a single berth. A bureau is built into the aft bulkhead between the berths and steps are provided to access the aft companionway. Air & heat are provided in this area with its own separate controls. A 110 Volt FAN and MICROWAVE are over the hanging locker to port. The locker has an interior light, opening door and an overhead are cabin lights, two brass reading lamps and opening windows with curtains. Additional drawers are beneath both beds.

The TOILET ROOM is ENSUITE and is forward to starboard. On the aft bulkhead is a teak custom shelf for CD's/DVD'S VCRS and some manuals. The ENCLOSED HEAD has a sink with counter top drawers and mirrored vanity. There is a shower with curtain, teak grate and 12 Volt automatic sump pump out. A 2007 Wilcox Crittenden Skipper manual toilet was just installed 2007. (Very quiet at night) A sliding window is provided in this area.

The SALOON/GALLEY area contains a straight settee BERTH/SEAT portside aft with end cushion and there ia a filler piece by the portside door.The filler piece is removeable to convert from a berth/seat to door access. The L shaped settee is to starboard. It has been used as a berth in a pinch. A large teak table is in front. The table has an oversized leaf on the inboard side to accomodate guests seated on the port side settee. A small bar with hinged top and ICEMAKER/FREEZER is just forward of the starboard settee.

Saloon Facing Forward

The GALLEY is portside forward and is nicely equipped. Hinged doors by the lower helm and aft of the galley provide access to the side decks. The FORWARD CABIN has a large V berth with drawers beneath and a hanging locker portside. The TOILET ROOM with curtain enclosed shower is to starboard and contains a Groco manual head (2001) with holding tank system 2006, Y valve overboard discharge, sink with countertop and mirrored vanity. There is also a sliding window in the head. Brass reading lights are provided in the forward cabin. A CHAIN LOCKER is forward with opening access door. Under the VEE berth is a storage bin where engine, Onan and other spares are stored.

Additionals
Tuatara is very nicely equipped and beautifully maintained, featuring low engine hours, a PORT SALOON DOOR in addition to the starboard door (rare feature in 1984), three steps to the aft cabin and regular updating of her equipment - undoubtedly one of the finest GB 36s currently available. All her exterior varnish was taken down to the wood and given 2 coats of 2 part sealer and 7 coats of Z-Spar Flagship varnish 2007 The entire interior was prepped and revarnished with Epifanes interior/exterior matte 2007. The soles were stripped and 8 coats of exterior varnish was applied. Tuatara's hull was freshly cleaned/waxed in the Spring 2009 as well as one coat of exterior varnish applied. Lower teak deck totally recaulked, serviced and sealed Spring 2008. She shows well and has only had loving owners, all of whom have have maintained her in excellent condition. This boat is highly recommended. Tuatara is Documentated US Flag #1038958. Owner holds a valid US Coast Guard 100 ton license. He has owned some 36 yachts from 67'Rhodes yawl, 42' A & R Rhodes yawl down to a Rhodes 18.
