L.O.A.: 46’ Layout/Accommodations
Rare 3 cabin layout: Master aft cabin with queen berth, walkaround. Head is to port and separate shower is to starboard, hanging locker centerline. Main salon with galley up includes lots of storage, propane (lpg) stove/range, single ss sink, 12 v. refrigeration and separate freezer. L-shaped settee with teak drop leaf table, seats 6 comfortably, storage under. Flat panel LCD TV with 12 v. antenna (receives up to 15 clear channels), stereo and DVD player.
Forward, there are 2 staterooms. To port, there is a double (queen) with a single overhead canvas bunk on a pipe frame (actually, very comfortable and stable), hanging locker and 3 large drawers. To starboard, there is a full head compartment with separate shower stall. Forward is a large vee-berth with insert filler. There are 3 drawers under each berth and a hanging locker to starboard. EXERIOR Wide decks make it simple to go forward or aft in any sea conditions. Aft is a good sized cockpit with a transom door opening to a wide swim platform. There is also a hot/cold shower and washdown outlet. Forward is a large sitting area on the cabin house and decks. The large bow pulpit, anchor roller and windlass makes anchoring a breeze. A salt water washdown is also located forward. Up on the flybridge, there is plenty of seating for 8-10 adults. A ¾ enclosure provides nice protection from the elements and the sides and forward sections can be rolled up to offer a nice awning to keep out of the sun. The helmsman armchair is very comfortable on long or short passages and gives great visibility. Both the upper and lower helms have full electronics and instrumentation. “Sarah Frances” is a fine example of Grand Banks quality and tradition. Her 8.5 knot cruise is incredibly comfortable and fuel efficient. Her stabilizers prevent rolling even in poor conditions. An honest 3-4’ beam sea will not cause her to roll, even allowing gear on the countertops to remain in place! Her layout allows 6 adults real comfort and privacy in their own berths. Electronics
